The Farm
The farm is a lovely place in the country with space to play and has a huge potential for being used in many ways. It is about 40 minutes drive from Olinda on a poor access road. At present it is in a bad state of repair, heavy rain and high temperatures have caused a lot of damage to the buildings. All the buildings need refurbishing. It is very overgrown in places which is sad because it would be possible to grow many more vegetables and fruit for use at the farm and My Father's House. At present there is only a caretaker looking after it.
The boys Peace Brigade go camping and doing exercises there which they love and find very beneficial as they have never had any discipline before. It is teaching them so much.
Groups of families go and Ian and Simea do parenting classes looking at relationship difficulties that the boys have with their parents. The purpose is to promote a more loving caring way of behaviour on all sides.
Groups of mothers have had "time out" retreats. The youngsters from the church love to go as they can play the music as loud as they like and sing and dance to their hearts content to the glory of God.
